The Phialdelphia Vigil For Puppy Doe

By now, many of you know the story of Puppy Doe..
A sweet, innocent dog, so badly abused, that she had to be euthanized to ease her suffering.

Puppy Doe, whose name was Kiya, sparked a nationwide outcry for justice! She was the spark that
lit an even bigger flame in our hearts...to find justice for Kiya, and for all animals.

Saturday evening, my husband and my eight year old daughter and I, attended one of the many vigils
for Puppy Doe. This one was here, where we live, in Philadelphia.
It was a very cold night, but all were bundled up to honor this sweet girl...many people brought their dogs too!
We even met a five month old Pitbull puppy named Kiya!
 She was adorable and loved the pom poms on London's hat!!

 It was a wonderful night, shared by many people with one goal...to bring awareness to animal abuse and to envision and fight for, an end to it.



We were all brought together by one sweet, lonely soul...who in the end, and now in Heaven, feels the tremendous outpouring of love for her.

 An orb we captured with our camera, over the crowd. When we enlarged it, we saw that sweet Puppy Doe was there with us!

Rest in peace, beautiful Kiya, you are so very loved. We will continue to fight in your honor.

Smiling On The Outside

Are you an animal activist? Do you love and defend animals at all costs? Do you rescue, care for and educate others about animals in need? If yes, then you must be smiling on the outside, while your heart is breaking on the inside. Many people I know are doing this right now, and it's killing them! Almost four years ago, I read an incredibly sad post on Facebook. It was about a women, who I did not know. She had taken her own life that day. The whole reason it grabbed my attention was of course, why was she so unhappy that she did this? What could have been going on, that would make her want to end her life?
