The Importance of THE PUPPY BOWL

Every year, Animal Planet broadcasts their wonderful show called The Puppy Bowl, on Super Bowl Sunday.

But did you know, that along with spotlighting some of most adorable puppies imaginable, they also have a one hundred percent adoption rate for all these pups! Yes, one hundred percent of those puppies get adopted! This year it was 90 adoptale puppies from 48 states! I find that just so heartwarming.

They also find as many rescues from all over the country, including, this year, Florida and Texas, to get the pups from.
This year they even featured a puppy, named Mango, who was rescued off the streets of Mexico by
Compassion Without Borders, and taken to their other rescue in California.
                                                                         Mango

They also featured a gorgeous puppy named Moonshine, who is totally deaf and sight impaired, along with another beauty named Sophie, who has three legs. What a wonderfully compassionate move on Animal Planets part. Bravo to them!

This year, for the very first time, they had a Dog Bowl, spotlighting older, less likely to get adopted dogs. Another stroke of genius, that pulls at our heart stings, and gets older dogs adopted!

Needless to say, ALL of the puppies and dogs were beautiful, and all of them unique in their own special way.

So, move over Tom Brady, you don't even come CLOSE to being the cutest player on the field this year...not. even. close.  Just look at the handsome face of Mr. Wigglesworth! I can't even....

In case you were wondering, TEAM FLUFF took home the Lombarky Trophy, for the second year in a row!
But really, it's not about who wins and who loses in The Puppy Bowl. What's really important is that each and every dog finds their forever home and family.

And that means, every little wiggly body wins! That's what's most important to us on Super Bowl Sunday.
                                                                          Morris

London's favorite dog was this gorgeous Shiba Inu named Kitsy!

Broken Hearts: An Anti-Bullying Campaign

Today, I want to talk about a topic that has been, well, talked about a lot-- Bullying! Bullying is never okay. In any form and to any living being. It is NEVER okay. We know this, as adults. But, do we really follow what our heart is telling us to do? Do we help others when they are being picked on or laughed at, or cyber bullied? Do we teach our children that we should never bully others, and to stand up to a bully, even if it means telling an adult? I had an experience with London being bullied at the start of the school year in her new school. This had never happed before, and let me tell you,  I was furious! London immediately told me when I picked her up from school that day, and my husband and I talked with her teacher that evening. And we talked about how it made her feel, and how wrong those two girls were for doing that to her. Her amazing teacher, to her credit, handled the situation rapidly and with the concern and anger of, not only a teacher, but a mother.
